Opus

Operators first. AI where it pays.

The operating program Engine deploys in every portfolio company, from due diligence to exit.

OPUS brings together operators who have built, run and sold companies, and AI deployed only where it creates measurable value. We don't sell AI. We measure what it delivers.

The problem

Capital alone has never built a great company.

Every investor writes a cheque and promises support. Few are there when the first critical hire, the first major client or the first strategic pivot arrives. And many now promise AI transformation without ever showing what it changed in the numbers.

What companies need is people who have solved the same problems before, and a disciplined way to turn technology into results.

The methodology

Four phases. One continuum.

OPUS starts before we invest and runs through to exit. Every company in the Engine portfolio benefits from it, not as an option, but as part of what it means to be backed by Seerius.

01

Assess

Before we invest. An operational review during due diligence: which processes can be improved, which can be automated, and whether management is ready to lead the change. AI potential is assessed, never priced in. Our entry price rests on the company's historical performance.

Understanding before acting

02

Align

The first 100 days. Management and Seerius agree on what the next twelve months must deliver. Before anything is deployed, we observe how the work is actually done (time spent, error rates, full cost) and sign off this baseline together with management.

A shared starting point

03

Augment

Months 3 to 12. Deployment in short waves of a few priority use cases. Most of the effort goes to people and processes, not algorithms. Every use case is reviewed at 90 days: continue, adjust or stop.

People first, then technology

04

Sustain

Through to exit. Results are measured against the baseline every quarter and reviewed with management. What works becomes a reusable module for the next companies in the same sector, faster and less costly to deploy each time.

Day one → exit
Measured, not claimed

We only count what reaches the P&L.

Time saved is not money earned. A gain counts only when it shows in the accounts: growth absorbed without new hires, natural departures not replaced, external costs removed. Everything else is reported separately as freed capacity, with no financial value attached.

Use cases that fail their 90-day review are stopped, and we say so. Reporting what didn't work is what makes the results credible.

Redeploy, not replace

Transformation through growth, not through cuts.

For a founder handing over a family business, what happens to the team matters as much as the price.

OPUS transforms through growth and natural attrition, not layoffs. The time it frees goes back into clients, business development and people.

Six levers

Chosen for each company.
Deployed when they matter.

No company receives everything by default. Levers are selected during Assess and adjusted as the company grows.

opus

Commercial acceleration

For companies whose priority is closing faster

Qualifies inbound opportunities, identifies the right contacts and surfaces the strongest signals in the pipeline to shorten the sales cycle.

opus

Management dashboard

Every phase

The metrics that matter, connected to existing data sources and built around the company's actual model. Management steers by data, not by intuition.

opus

Operational efficiency

Do more with the same team

Process review and automation across finance, operations and marketing, where time and money are lost today.

opus

Market watch

Anticipate rather than react

Continuous monitoring of competitors and sector signals, so the company sees threats and opportunities before they materialise.

opus

Key hires

The right person at the right time

Maps the profiles needed at each stage, activates the Seerius network before going to market, and supports the first 90 days of every key hire.

opus

Capital readiness

12 to 18 months ahead

Equity story, investor materials and preparation for the next raise or exit, so the company arrives ready.

What OPUS delivers

The difference is what happens after the cheque.

For companies

Operators when it matters

A network of sector operators mobilised on demand, with AI that makes each intervention faster and more consistent. Deployed in the first months, measured from day one.

For investors

Results you can verify

Visibility on every portfolio company through ATLAS, and gains reported against an agreed baseline, not estimated.

OPUS

A partner who stays.
From day one to exit.

If you are building a company and want a partner who stays, or you are an investor looking for more than a passive allocation, the conversation starts here.
